Tacha explained that her growing concern over Nigeria’s current socio-political and economic situation has inspired her to take a more hands-on role in influencing policies and decision-making processes that directly affect citizens’ lives. According to her, she feels that merely observing and complaining about the state of affairs is no longer sufficient; action is necessary to drive meaningful change.
‘It’s Better to Get Involved Than Keep Complaining’
In the interview, Tacha highlighted the significant impact politics has on everyday life, noting that even a single government policy can either improve or worsen the circumstances of millions. She emphasized that being actively involved, rather than remaining passive, offers individuals the chance to contribute to solutions and effect positive transformation in society.
She stated, “I feel like if you keep complaining about something, it only makes sense to get involved and maybe make certain decisions that’ll make things easier for people. People always say after God, it’s politics and truly, one policy from the government can make or break you. At the end of the day, it makes sense to get involved.”
Tacha further mentioned that while she is still building her political experience and may not yet be in a position to influence major governmental decisions immediately, she intends to leverage her considerable social media following and public influence to advocate for good governance, transparency, and accountability in leadership.
