In the emotional outburst, which has now gone viral across social media platforms, Pat didn’t hold back in her criticism, directly calling out the Senate President for what she described as “blood on his hands.” She declared:

“For all the people you (Akpabio) have killed when you were governor of Akwa Ibom and those killed now that you are in the Senate, it will never be well with you.”

Her remarks have sent shockwaves through political and religious circles, reigniting conversations about the long-standing controversies surrounding Akpabio’s leadership style and political legacy in Akwa Ibom. The comments also highlight a deep personal rift between her and her brother-in-law, further dividing opinion among supporters and critics.

Family feud and political betrayal

Pat Akpabio is married to Ibanga Akpabio, the Senate President’s younger brother, who reportedly played a major role in Godswill Akpabio’s early political rise. According to several accounts, Ibanga was instrumental in introducing the Senate President to key figures in Akwa Ibom politics in the late 1990s, helping him secure his first political appointment as a commissioner under then-Governor Victor Attah.

However, the once cordial relationship between the families appears to have soured over time. In the new viral video, Pat accused the Senate President of betraying those who stood by him during his rise to power, including political allies and family members. She specifically named Umana Okon Umana, Nsima Ekere, Akan Udofia, and Bassey Albert as individuals allegedly “used and dumped” by the Senate President.

“You betrayed everyone who helped you. When you finish using people, you throw them away. But this time, you can’t run forever — your time is almost up,” she said, warning that his downfall was near.

Accusations of false allegations and political manipulation

In the same video, Pat claimed that Godswill Akpabio falsely accused her husband, Ibanga, of murder and theft following the controversial 2019 senatorial election — an election Akpabio lost before later securing another opportunity through political realignment.

She recounted: “You accused your own brother of killing your friend and stealing your money. What kind of wickedness is that? After all we did for you, this is how you repay us?”

Pat also dismissed claims that Akpabio “made her who she is,” insisting that she supported him in 2019 out of loyalty, not for personal gain. “I stood by you when people insulted you. I didn’t collect a single kobo from you. Now you have the audacity to say you made me? God will judge between us,” she said.

Neglect and leadership criticism

She further took aim at the Senate President’s alleged neglect of his home community, Ukana Ikot Ntuen, lamenting that the area had been in darkness for weeks despite his powerful political position. Pat argued that his leadership had brought “more hardship than progress” to the people who once revered him.

“Your own village has no electricity, no development, nothing to show. You’ve been in power for decades, yet your people are still suffering. What kind of leadership is that?” she questioned.

Threat to expose hidden secrets

The pastor didn’t stop there. In a fiery conclusion, she issued a bold ultimatum to Akpabio, daring him to publicly respond to her claims or risk being exposed further. “If you don’t leave that Senate seat, this is just the beginning. I have more to say, and I will not stop until the truth comes out,” she warned.

Pat also called on President Bola Tinubu to tread carefully in dealing with Akpabio, describing the Senate President as “a very wicked man who hides behind political power.”

Her video has triggered heated conversations online, with many Nigerians debating whether the allegations are politically motivated or an attempt to draw attention to deeper family issues within the Akpabio clan.
