A Nigerian lawyer, identified as Amaka Onwuegbuchlem, has taken to social media to share her candid opinion about the recently released romantic drama, ‘Love in Every Word 2’, produced by celebrated Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Omoni Oboli.
The legal practitioner revealed that despite the hype surrounding the film, she was unable to complete it because she didn’t find it engaging enough to sustain her interest till the end.
‘Love in Every Word 2,’ which premiered on October 24, 2025, quickly became one of the most talked-about releases on YouTube, amassing over one million views within just six hours of its debut — a record-breaking milestone that highlighted the strong anticipation among fans.

The movie, which serves as a sequel to the first installment released on March 7, 2025, continues the emotional journey of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery that captivated viewers earlier in the year. However, not everyone seems to share the same excitement about the sequel.
Lawyer Amaka shares her honest take on ‘Love in Every Word 2’
Taking to her Facebook page, Amaka Onwuegbuchlem explained that she decided to stop watching midway because, in her opinion, the storyline didn’t hold her attention or evoke the same excitement as expected from such a highly promoted project.
She went on to say that while she appreciates the efforts of the producers and cast, the film’s pacing and emotional delivery didn’t captivate her enough to continue watching until the end.
According to her, she believes it’s important to express one’s honest opinion about creative works, even if it goes against popular sentiment, because such discussions encourage others to check things out for themselves and form their own conclusions.

“If you take a look at the screenshot, you will see where I stopped while watching the movie,” she wrote.
“And in my opinion, I didn’t see anything interesting enough to make me finish the movie. Maybe it got more interesting later, but there’s an Igbo proverb that says you can guess the sweetness of a dish from its aroma. That’s my honest point of view.”
She further added, “Yours can be different, and that’s okay. Expressing opinions is important; it allows others to be curious enough to go see for themselves.”
Her post has since attracted mixed reactions online — while some agreed with her review and claimed the sequel lacked the spark of the first film, others defended the movie, insisting that it became more captivating as the story progressed.
Many fans also praised her for sharing an objective and respectful critique rather than attacking the production or its creators.
